What is Celestial Dance Co.?
Celestial Dance Collective is a queer-run adult dance group in Ithaca, NY, designed as a safe space for self-expression. In the highly gendered and heteronormative dance sphere, Celestial Dance Co. sets out to provide a safe community that fosters inclusivity for those of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and/or mobility levels.
What is the General Time Commitment?
What is the General Time Commitment?
One hour per week. We generally rehearse on Monday nights from 6:30-7:30 PM. In the event we have an upcoming performance, our time commitment can be about 3-4 hours per week.

What Styles/Levels of Dance are Offered?
We offer dance for all skill levels. From absolute beginners to ex-competitive dancers, our classes are specialized to be inclusive to everyone.
As for styles, our monthly offerings vary, but we have done ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and heels. Find out more about each style of dance on our "Classes" tab.
We are open to adding new genres, so contact us if you would like to teach/take class in a new style of dance!

What is the Cost Per Class?
Our class fee is just $15.00, and new dancers who take class with us get their first class free! We take cash and Venmo payments (@celestialdanceco). Payments are due after class ends.

Yes! We actually performed on the main stage at Ithaca Pride over the summer! It was such an amazing experience, and we would love to have a larger group to perform next year!
If you would like to book us to dance for an event, please let us know at least 3 months prior to the event date, and email us the event details at celestialdanceco@gmail.com.
Can I Join?
Can I Join?
Of course! Everyone is welcome to dance with us. No audition is needed to join our dance group, just the love for movement and the willingness to take on new challenges.
